2.1. Competitions may be organized for competitors of either sex, competing together or separately

2.3. Competitions may be organized for different age groups as follows:
2.3.1. SENIORS - Over 18 at any point during the year of the competition
2.3.2. YOUTH - Ages 10-18 at any point during the year of the competition
2.3.3. MASTERS - Over 50 at any point during the year of the competition
2.3.4. LADIES - Female over 18 at any point during the year of competition

2.4. These Competition Rules apply equally to all categories, and to Provincial as well as National Championships, except when otherwise specified within these rules or changed in Rule Modifications (see Article 7.1).

2.5. For convenience, the words "he" and "his" are used throughout this document to include the words "she" and "her" respectively.

2.3.1.1 World - International competition of competitors nominated by Member Federations all over the world,
2.3.1.2 European - International competition of competitors nominated by Member Federations geographically located on European continent,
2.3.1.3 Rest of World (RoW) - International competition of competitors nominated by Member Federations NOT geographically located on European continent.

2.4. These Competition Rules apply to all categories.

2.5. Each World Championship must include a Conservation Symposium.

2.6. Championships within the same geographical area / zone might be organized as combined. In such a case they must be run on different sectors and evaluated separately.
